Fable Functionary (teller of tall tales) Hey, guys! Welcome!
I hope this web site is as much fun for you as it is for me putting it together for you. I’m having a blast with it.
I’ve read books experts have written that say your web site should be about only one thing, but dang it, I don’t do just one thing. Do you? I have several interests but limited supply of time and finances so I decided to take a chance and put it all here. At least I have my pages be of just one topic anyway. That should be okay, shouldn’t it? I hope so.
At any rate, here for your entertainment, I have one page listing all the books I’ve written so far. My Zeke Mayhill series. There will be nine books in all in the series. I’m currently working on the fourth one. I will also have children’s picture books, science fiction novels and regency romance novels. They’re coming. I have them all outlined.
Another page lists all my other stuff, which are my Godhugs (little teddy bears with special messages from God), my craft ideas (what to do with wrapping paper scraps and making your own tiny little decks of playing cards - as soon as I get them done), my T-shirt designs and designs on other stuff. I’m planning on having my artwork done on pictures you can hang on your walls.
And since I write about magic and such things, I have added a page where you can do a numerology chart for yourself. It's free. And I have included all the instructions and interpretations. Try it out.
And now, since I mentioned what I write about, I want to say a few things about why I write. Even though I have written stories since I was in the 3rd grade, I have 3 favorite authors that have influenced me. They are:
JRR Tolkien
Georgette Heyer
JK Rowling
J.R.R. Tolkien wrote the Lord of the Rings books. They are epic. And still going strong, even though they were written back in the 1940's. I want to write that well. I want my books to be remembered as classics. I’m still working on that so some day I will accomplish that. I just keep trying.
Georgette Heyer is a Regency Romance writer. I love her books. She lived during the early 1900’s and is second to Jane Austin in the romance genre. Her books are very entertaining and keep you interested to the very end. I aspire to do that with my books. I keep studying how to write well and my goal is to keep people entertained.
And finally:
JK Rowling. The reason I like her so much is not so much for her Harry Potter books, which are really a good reason to like her, but for what she has done with them. She has inspired kids to read again and even inspired some kids who are dyslexic to learn how to read.
I read in a book called ‘Muggles and Magic’ by George Beahm, (can get this at Amazon) that JK Rowling inspired a young boy who suffered severe dyslexia to work harder at learning how to read. And this time he succeeded. All because he fell in love with her Harry Potter books. That is impressive and I want to do that. Can you imagine how wonderful that is? I'm going to keep trying.
I have special links listed, too. Special web sites you might like to visit. They’re very helpful web sites. I’ll be adding to that list as I find others.
So come on in. Pick a page you like and see what you think. Hope you enjoy what’s here as much as I have enjoyed creating it all for you.
